PAPA’S POLAR PATCH INFO
SEASON: The 2013-14 season at Papa’s Polar Patch is Dec. 26 – Jan. 5. As of Dec. 8, we have enough snow to hold a polar patch, what we need is warmer temperatures! Check the website or Papa’s Facebook page before you travel to Papa’s Polar Patch. Generally speaking, we won’t open if the wind chill is below -15 degrees or the temperature is less than zero.
HOURS: Papa’s Polar Patch is open 12-5 pm daily, weather permitting. Always double check the home page of Papa’s website or Facebook page if you’re uncertain about the weather or our hours. We try to post our intentions for each day by 11 am. If we need to close the patch during the day, we will post our closing on the website and fan page as soon as we make the decision. Mother Nature in North Dakota can be challenging sometimes!
COSTS: The cost for admission to Papa’s Polar Patch is $5/person. With each admission you get two free tickets to use for old-fashioned sled rides, horse-drawn sleigh rides and concessions in Papa’s warming house. Tickets are not refundable for cash but can be used any time between Dec. 26, 2013 and Jan. 5, 2014.
And here’s a cool deal: if you round up nine of your friends and family (so a total of 10 people in your group); call Papa’s ahead of time and book your group visit; then you will receive three free tickets with your admission of $5/person! To book your group, contact Mrs. P (Suzie) at email@example.com or 701-258-8469. Think about it: if you are the “Johnson” group and you call ahead to visit Papa’s on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 1 pm, then when you and the rest of your Johnson group arrives, you will pay $50 for the entire group and get 30 FREE TICKETS!
